Lesson Number 1
OK, let's begin where we should begin.  Follow these steps for our first lesson.

1. Read this artist statement out loud
   I AM creative.   I HAVE a great imagination.   I AM an ARTIST!

2. Get some paper - any color

3. Get some pens & some pencils

4. Write your name on the paper

5. Write answers to these questions:
   A)    What is your favorite place to run?
   B)    What does that place look like in summer time?
   C)    What do you think it sounds like?  Can you write one thing you hear?

6. Let's draw someone (a person or an animal - or both!) running there

7. Look at your picture and say "that's great!"

8. Now draw that person or animal if they had ROCKETS on their FEET

9. Look at your picture and say "that's cool!"

10. Answer this: what if a person had wings.  Could they FLY and RUN at the same time?

11. Now draw a person with WINGS - draw them any way you want - flying or running, or BOTH at the same time!

12. Look at your picture and say "I like what I draw!"

13. That's it for the first lesson!  Ask your parents if they can send the Master Artist a copy for comments!
